Laila Caruso
Laila has nearly 20 years’ experience in the legal recruitment sector, working across different areas of legal practice.
She began her career with an award-winning City boutique legal search firm, working on partner level searches for retained clients.
Her experience includes:
Working on search assignments for both private practice and in-house clients.
Compiling due diligence reports on candidates and team hires for law firms in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia.
Preparing market intelligence reports.
Laila has focused on litigation since 2017 and joined Auston Legal in March 2020 to strengthen both the company’s presence in the sector and its offering across the market.
She currently focuses on associate recruitment for leading insurance firms in London and Bristol.
Laila read Law and History at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and completed her LLM with SOAS and King’s College London in 2004.
Outside of the office, Laila enjoys Zumba and Yoga/Pilates, reading, travelling, and politics.
