After graduating with a First Class Law degree, qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive and spending almost 10 years in practice as an insurance lawyer, George chose to move into legal recruitment and has established himself as the only specialist recruiter of commercial insurance lawyers across the North and the Midlands. He was shortlisted for Recruitment/Talent Professional of the Year at the 2022 pro-manchester Made in Manchester Awards.
George recruits for all of the major insurance practices and has placed lawyers of all levels of seniority, at both Solicitor and Partner level. Whilst he has traditionally focused on exclusive instructions in the professional indemnity and property damage sectors, George has excellent knowledge and experience in all areas of non-injury insurance recruitment across the country. He prides himself on his highly supportive and non-salesy approach to recruitment.
As a Managing Consultant at Auston Legal, George Heads our practice in the North and the Midlands where he works closely with law firms and lawyers across various specialist insurance lines.
Outside of the office, George spends most of his free time playing, practicing or at least thinking about golf! He is a member at Ringway Golf Club in Altrincham, Cheshire, and plays off a scratch handicap. George also enjoys keeping fit, photography, drawing and reading.
