The Client 
Our client is a global law firm with a leading reputation in the insurance sector, with over 2,000 people worldwide across offices in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and America. The firm provides a range of specialist legal services for a variety of industry sectors but has particular expertise in litigation, especially in defending insurance and liability claims. 
 
The firm has one of the most experienced teams of coverage and subrogation lawyers working in the energy insurance and reinsurance market, and has extensive experience in advising the insurers and reinsurers of the world's major energy sector multinationals. 
 
The energy team is comprised of recognised market-leading individuals, and is experienced in handling the market's largest and most complex claims in all energy sectors. Examples of the work the team is involved in include onshore and offshore, renewables (including wind and solar), refining and power generation, representing construction and operational insurers on international claims. 
 
The team is now looking to grow through the addition of an associate to assist with a high volume of work. 
 
Key requirements: 
Ideally 2-5 PQE 
Experience of London market coverage work in one or more of Property, Energy or Construction 
Energy experience would be preferable, but not essential 
To be proactive and take initiative 
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written 
Ability to manage own time, excellent organisation skills 
Strong technical and research skills
