The Client
Our client is a highly regarded commercial practice which handles the full spectrum of property damage claims. Our client’s team operates from five offices across the country and the majority of their 60-strong team is based in Manchester.
The team act for a number of composite insurers and carry out all kinds of property damage work, including complex liability claims and subrogated recoveries arising from the full range of insurable risks. The team are also known for handling policy coverage disputes.
The Role:
Our client wishes to recruit a lawyer with experience in handling subrogated recoveries arising from various insurable risks.
The successful candidate can expect to handle fast and multi track claims, supervise junior lawyers and support a highly experienced lawyer with their complex caseload.
Key requirements:
Previous commercial insurance/commercial litigation experience (2-6 PQE)
An ability to prioritise workload
An ability to communicate in writing and prepare succinct and precise reports
Ability to pay attention to detail
Ability to work with case management systems
The personal skills to deal with major and expensive litigation, including liaising with senior claims handlers
Legal qualification (solicitor/FCILEx)
Desirable:
Willingness to play a role in the development of client relationships and of the practice as a whole
Claims handling experience (via a previous secondment or otherwise)
