The Role
Our client’s Manchester-based Professional Indemnity team has grown significantly over the course of the past 12 months and our client expects to grow further in 2023. To that end, our client wishes to recruit at least two Solicitors (2-6 PQE) to handle their own caseloads of relatively complex and diverse professional indemnity claims and assist Partners with high value and multi-party claims where required.
Key requirements:
Previous experience within insurance litigation (ideally professional indemnity) or commercial litigation (2-6 PQE)
An ability to prioritise workload
An ability to communicate in writing and prepare succinct and concise reports
Ability to pay attention to detail
Ability to work with case management systems
The personal skills to deal with such work as major and expensive litigation involving liaison with senior claims handlers
Legal qualification required – solicitor/FCILEx
Desirable:
Willingness to play a role in the development of client relationships and of the practice as a whole
Claims handling experience (via a previous secondment or otherwise)
