The Client 
Our client, an International commercial law firm, and a recognised leader in the Insurance sector is looking to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate to join the International Property & Casualty team in London. 
 
The Role: 
The focus of this unique and niche role will be advising on insurance claims arising out of onshore & offshore energy, power generation, renewables, construction, mining and heavy industry sectors, from all over the world. 
 
This growing team is part of the firm’s market-leading and award-winning Insurance practice, acting for many of the biggest insurance brands across the globe. 
 
Examples of responsibilities include: 
Working on a range of complex coverage issues including under standard market forms such as WELCAR, WINDCAR, EED 8/86, the DE and LEG clauses, and bespoke policies. 
Running (and/or monitoring) defence work and subrogated claims. 
Resolving disputes via negotiation, litigation, arbitration, and ADR. 
 
 
 
Key Requirements: 
At least 3PQE with good insurance coverage knowledge and experience. 
A good knowledge of legal procedures. 
A keen interest in the law and a desire to be (and continuously develop as) an accomplished practitioner. 
Excellent organisational skills. 
Excellent communications skills (both orally and in writing). 
An ability to adapt to shifting priorities and adapt plans accordingly. 
A team orientated mentality, both with clients and colleagues. 
Enthusiastic and able to remain calm under pressure.
