The Role
Our client wishes to recruit an Associate to support a well-regarded Partner who has recently relocated from London to Manchester. Interestingly, as well as handling a wide range of traditional professional indemnity claims, the Partner in question is known for their work regarding emerging professions, and the successful candidate could expect to help them grow that side of their practice.
Key requirements:
Previous experience within insurance litigation (ideally professional indemnity) or commercial litigation (NQ - 6 PQE)
An ability to prioritise workload
An ability to communicate in writing and prepare succinct and concise reports
Ability to pay attention to detail
Ability to work with case management systems
The personal skills to deal with such work as major and expensive litigation involving liaison with senior claims handlers
Legal qualification required – solicitor/FCILEx
Desirable:
Willingness to play a role in the development of client relationships and of the practice as a whole
Claims handling experience (via a previous secondment or otherwise)
