The Client 
A full-service law firm, and a longstanding client of Auston Legal, with an impressive corporate and insurance client base to whom they provide a comprehensive construction law offering. This team has grown significantly in recent years in line with its successes and is keen to recruit a junior lawyer with up to 4 years' experience to help service the team’s increasing volume of work. 
 
The team in Nottingham handle construction disputes and advise on non-contentious matters. 
 
The Role: 
Our client wishes to recruit a junior lawyer to help service the team’s increasing volume of work.  
 
The successful candidate will handle a caseload of their own and the role will involve exposure to both construction disputes and advisory matters, although there is scope to focus largely on litigation or transactional work. 
 
Key Requirements: 
Previous construction or commercial litigation experience (NQ-4 PQE) 
An ability to prioritise workload 
An ability to communicate in writing and prepare succinct and concise reports 
Ability to pay attention to detail 
Ability to work with case management systems 
The personal skills to deal with such work as major and expensive litigation involving liaison with senior claims handlers 
Legal qualification required – solicitor/FCILEx 
 
Desirable: 
Willingness to play a role in the development of client relationships and of the practice as a whole. 
Claims handling experience (via a previous secondment or otherwise).
