The Client 
Our client is an international commercial law firm with offices in 21 countries, specialising in insurance, dispute resolution and advisory services. Regularly ranked 1st in several insurance lines, the firm has particular expertise in defending insurance and liability claims. 
 
The firm is now looking to recruit a mid-level associate (3-6 PQE) for its highly regarded Casualty Coverage team. 
 
The team advises on high-value and complex coverage disputes, which often involve more than jurisdiction, sometimes resulting in forum and choice of law disputes. 
 
The spread of work undertaken by the team includes insurance cover for complex product liability, pharmaceutical, environmental and professional risks, and property losses. The team has particular expertise in advising on coverage disputes involving Bermuda Form wordings. 
 
The team also has a strong presence in the German market, advising clients in Germany/on German law disputes as a number of the team are dual-qualified. 
 
Examples of claims include: 
Advising on food recall claims. 
Claims in a range of foreign jurisdictions following environmental disasters. 
Large fire loss. 
Claims concerning opiods. 
Cladding claims post Grenfell. 
 
Key requirements: 
Ideally someone with 3+ PQE experience. 
Insurance coverage/defence experience is essential. 
Insurance litigation and arbitration experience.
